Let me clarify...

This photo is remarkably true.
Thought I should point out to any confused guys that wonder why it takes so long...
...it's a complicated process.

Flappers the Penguin.

Meet Flappers the Penguin. Brock and myself? We're old news. Flappers is the most recent addition to our little family of ducks, scorpions, and teddy bears. Brock William Pine, being the gentleman that he is, took me to Oaks park for a lovely date to kick off the summer fun. Full of testosterone and the image of a fairy tale date straight out of a movie he was determined to win me a teddy bear off one of the rigged, money stealing, unfair carnival games. Here are the rules... 5 bucks for 3 balls. Knock down the three pins with your 1 ball you win any prize in the stand. Sounds easy huh? Except what the money lusting carny doesn't tell you is that all the pins are heavily weighted and the ball is very light. So even if you do have the coordination to hit the ball rather than missing, you have to hit it in JUST the right spot or else they'll slide, or even better yet, you'll only knock down 2 pins, or even BETTER YET... you'll hit 'em dead on, but you lack the strength to hit one of those 7,000,000 pound pins over. There goes 5 dollars you could've spent on 5 ice cream cones.
So, Brock being the determined man he is bought 3 balls-didn't win. Bought 3 more balls-didn't win. Bought 3 MORE balls-didn't win and was extremely irritated at the taunting carny. Bought his last three balls, stole a good luck kiss from his woman, and chucked the ball at the pins with tremendous force and aggression.

OH GLORIOUS DAY HE WON!

I picked out a 20 dollar penguin which we named Flappers, he felt like a man, and we both went home happy. Day well spent.

Summer shouldn't began in the middle of July.

So this weeks been lovely. As Oregon hasn't exactly cooperated with my ideal terms for living in this cold, rainy state (being that i get 3-4 months of strict 90 degree weather) I've had to make do with less than ideal weather throughout all of June and a great deal of July... but do not fret, Oregon received a stern talking to. After doing so, Oregon shaped up and showed me the ball of blazing fire that I hold so dear to my heart.

We celebrated by going to the St. Paul Rodeo... and though I was not able to take as many pictures as I wanted to due to excessive fun having, I just had to take a picture of this clown preparing to jump over long semi-truck on a motorcycle. Which in fact kill on average 3,000 people a year in the U.S.... when they aren't jumping over long semi's that are pulling trailors, just sayin.

July 4th. I spent this blessed day with my amazing boyfriend of 10 months Brock, my fantastic best friend since birth Tessa... her boyfriend Andrew, Miranda, and Eli. All and all an awesome day plainly based on the folks I spent it with. Our day consisted of touring fire trucks, receiving awesome Jr. firefighter stickers, walking aimlessly, standing in lines aimlessly, and without a doubt... there was much mechanical bull riding. This very well may have been the most exciting 4 seconds of my entire weekend.Yes, I'm very aware of the fact that I suck at mechanical bull riding, no need to rub it in my face like you think you could do any better cause it really is a lot harder than it looks... thanks.

I know this blog is basically just a bunch of little pictures with captions and descriptions, however, it was a very memorable weekend and i would not have wanted to spend it any differently than I did, and with whom I did.
I realize more and more every day what the important things are, who the important people are, and ways to show them they matter. Life is dang short, and I've only tasted but a little sliver of it, I looked forward to trying to conquer the rest of that big funfetti cake until the day I become sick of it and die. Which at that point will go to heaven to meet my heavenly father who will soothe my tummy ache with heavenly Tumz. (<--is that spelt with a Z? Okay well now it is.) And that's the best analogy I can come up with to describe my confusing, yet positive opinion on life at the moment. :) Channy must sleep, Good night world.

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

First Blog!

My lovely sister Elisha has inspired me without knowing it. My mother has been continuously showing me my sisters blogs, and regardless to my hesitancy to read them, I ended up getting sucked into a blog she wrote about involving marriage. Her insight on the complex subject that even scholars have a difficult time grasping boarder-line shocked me. This subject challenged me to think deeper and more intimately on the worlds "Typical" subjects. Such as...
  • Love. (who decided it should be fairytale esc and lovey dovey? What can love really mean... is it all that it's hyped up to be? Is it more? What's it look like? Ect.)
  • Family. (how important are they really? Is it bad if the dynamics at home aren't typical?)
  • Politics. (hahahhaha. We'll see about this subject...)
  • And generally the adventures of the day to day.
We'll see where this takes me. :) As for now... all blogging credit goes out to my Lisha whom I love dearly... thanks sis!

  • OH! @Nd p30P|e wH0 T@llLlLLK L!k3 tHH!$ (That will be a long angry post)
